Summer or winter, Wengen is not immune to bad weather. How do you stay busy in the event of rain or heavy snow?

Cultural activities
Discover the village of Wengen with a heritage guide. Every Monday afternoon in high season, you can explore the village and its traditions.
In summer, take the cogwheel train from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen and visit the Valley and Legend Museum.
Outdoor activities
There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes!
A trip to Trümmelbach Falls is an option on rainy summer days. In fact, the waterfalls are even more impressive in the rain. They are located about 30 minutes from Wengen.
On your way to the falls, stop in Lauterbrunnen to admire the view of the Staubbach Falls.
About an hour away from Wengen, you can also visit the Aare Gorge.
Fifteen minutes by train from Interlaken, discover the St Beatus caves on the shores of Lake Thun.
From the centre of Wengen, many easy hikes can be enjoyed all year round. Be sure to check the conditions at the Tourist Office before setting out.

Sporting activities
Speaking of Grindelwald, you can also stop at the Grindelwald sports center. Then, all that’s left is to make your choice between rock climbing, swimming, ice skating, curling or the famous indoor rope park!
In wintertime, you can learn the sport of curling in Wengen. Take part in a "Curling for everyone" session on Wednesdays or book a private lesson with an instructor.
